PJM Load Response System Rewrite

Effective June 30, 2009, a new version of the Demand Side Response (DSR) legacy software will be deployed. The PJM Load Response System Rewrite training will provides participants (Curtailment Service Providers, Load Serving Entities, and Electric Distribution Companies) the detailed information for using the updated version of the “Load Response” eTool software.

System load that has the ability to react to wholesale prices or respond to PJM emergency conditions may be compensated for energy and capacity. Market opportunities are available for system load to provide ancillary services, such as Synchronous Reserves or Regulation. The PJM Load Response System plays a vital role in managing this DSR process.

This training will review the implementation of the new DSR system that will be used for registrations, notifications, settlements, and CBL calculations. Typical transactions include identifying locations, managing events, financial settlements, and EDCs and LSEs approvals or denials. This new version of the software will also have functionality to calculate Customer Baseline values (CBLs).
